Last night this guy single handedly beat down Fresno State. He went 7-9 for three and finished with 30 points. I don't remember him being the take the game over type of guy last year but he has that potential. That was a good win over a Mountain West school. Idaho played tough at Northern Illinois last night but came up short. The Big Sky is better this year, are we?

Yikes!! Dixon has that potential. He is a guy who can go off at anytime. Good solid win for the Jacks.

Yes, I do believe the Sky has improved. The Sky has gained a handful of really good coaches and they have done a good job of rebuilding their specific programs. NAU is one of those programs. Eastern is another one. And we can't over look what Katz has done in Sacramento. The Sky, overall, has improved and is chalk full of talent.

Where is Weber?? Well...I think the Cats are going to be better than last year, but right now. We aren't. Hoping for a handful of really good games this weekend. Go Weber!!

Actually Tal I think we all know where Weber is right now. Hopefully no one pulled a hamstring while snorkeling. I heard the training staff is on beach patrol making sure no one gets a bad sun burn.

I have NO problem with the team having FUN while in the islands. If you have a problem with this then your are probably a total A-Hole.
My only problem is that I am NOT there also.

Thanks for the implication that I am an A-hole Larry. I agree let them have fun and enjoy the trip. The only thing missing is us.

Nice try Webski, Im NOT AJ. I do know who AJ is though. Last time I talked to him he was in the process of moving to St. George and becoming an SUU T-Bird fan. Next time I talk to AJ, I will tell him that you miss him though. :thumb:

Haha, my boy noted that the wording on the sail boats almost spell out Bolomboy-- not a good omen for the opposition

UpShur, Dixon, & Yanku could be a very formidable guard line for us to deal with. Upshur is smooth, & I can't forget how calmly he hit that 26' from that ECU Pirate spot on the floor.

They were the only Big Sky team to beat us @ home in a few years. Jan 15 in Flagstaff could be a tough one.

Not only NAU, but Eastern, Sac, and UNCO also have formidable guard lines. I'm sure Fox's dad would say ISU too. It is going to be a very competitive Big Sky season.

If you take being able to shoot out of the equation, Idaho State is very formidable.

It (NAU/Dixon) was at Flagstaff and altitude though, just sayin'.....

The only sports that altitude truly benefits are cross country and track and field. All of the other sports allow enough of a break in between plays to compensate for sucking wind at 7,000 ft. If not....NAU would be flush with basketball and football conference titles. Not the case.

On another note, NAU hoops is starting the season out pretty well. Only at 1-3 but the only arse whooping was vs. Xavier. They kept it close vs. Toledo, Ole Miss on the road and stuck it to Fresno State at home.

I have hope. I don't predict NAU will win the league but I expect them to be in the mix at the end.
