Adding Games

I keep hearing a rumour that Weber is going to add two more games in March. Is this a fact? Can they even do it? Who would Weber play?

I think its something that needs to be done to ensure that Lillard is awarded a Medical Red-shirt.

I've heard the same rumour. Has anyone been able to get to the luncheons to confirm this? Or will someone who is a "Round Baller" tell us whats up?

Even if Weber adds games, hopefully they will be home games, I'm sure dumbA$$ Joe Strand will screw up the music. What a WANK!! Seriously how does the administration not realize he doesn't know shit about music. Against BYU part of the reason Weber lost the crowd was because of his idiotic selections. JOKER nimrod??

I've heard that there is a good chance that Weber will add an NAIA and a DI to their schedule.

How will we add games in March?

our last conf game is March 2nd at home to EWU, and the conf tourney starts March 5th, and is finished on the 9th?

The only way I see we can add games is Monday February 28th or March 1st, 3rd or 4th. And if we add 2 games to that week we will be playing 3 games in a week. and who knows if we will be playing in the first round of the BSC tourney. which would be 4 games in a week

eastern added a game a few yrs ago in march so maybe its not that difficult but should we assume any game added will be on the road? afterall this is a season of raod games.

You can play games until the final 4. The games will be added to ensure that Dame plays in less than 30% of our games. Tourney games DO count toward the final total. The games will most likely be road games and look to be around the 10th of March.

The will not be adding any NAIA or DII teams. I have heard that they will most likely be teams on the West Coast.

Great news. Two games would put Lillard at 30%, making the conference tourney and playing in at least one game should be easy to obtain and get him under 30%. Other than Cravens' last season I don't ever remember us not qualifying for the post season. I think we have qualified every season.

So most likely we will play someone in the Big West, WCC or Pac 10?

There won't be an anouncement for another month yet. All of the details are being worked out. Two road games will be added at the end of our season, against D1 schools on the coast. We can do this because we are under the number of games allowed and because games can be scheduled right up to the final four of the NCAA championship. If we can pull off a berth in the NCAAs, it might be a little dicey.

unless i am wrong the rule is you can only schedule 28 games. if you leave the continental US for a tournament you can then schedule 3 more games. basically like the hawaii football rule.

so we had 3 more games we could have already scheduled but never did. i would assume because we couldnt get more home games so why play 3 more road games unless you have to? luckily we now have to and can add.

its too bad we cant get a home game but who honestly thought we could schedule a game this late for a D1 home game. now adding a DI road game im sure there would be schools lining up for that. we would. so if we go west coast that is good because it is close by, and if the games arent against pac 10 they are probably high chances of wins.

Independents Standings
New Orleans — 7-4
Cal State Bakersfield — 8-6
North Carolina Central — 5-7
Seattle — 5-11
Longwood — 5-12
SIU-Edwardsville — 4-13
Savannah State — 2-15

Maybe a Seattle rematch or Bakersfield.

So does Alaska fall into "leaving the continental US"?

maybe a better way to say it is the NCAA only allowed a 28 game schedule with in the contiguous 48 states. supposedly a loop hole discovered by UAA in the 1970's and that was how the GAS started.

Cool UAA was pretty smart to take advantage of that.
