Great article almost all about dame on espn. He is starting to get some love with that article from usa today and now this. Gotta love this kid.

Now the question. does he leave or does he stay?
My answer sad to say it but i think he should go. He is playing amazing basketball right now and the nation is watching. who knows what could happen next year. he could do even better and just the opposite. I think he should take it and run with it. We have some great ball players to fill in for him.

BUT we need to make it to that NCAA tourney before we decide on anything. Lead the way Dame! :thumb:

"What Lillard is doing deserves special, even constant, consideration."

Awesome! All hail Lillard! :notworthy: :notworthy:

i saw those nba players and the nfl player at the game. everyone was staring them down as they left the game but they were nice and waved to the crowd. i think there were 4-5 kings, a few weren't mentioned in the article.

i love this one:

Boogie Cousins in the building? If that's not an affirmation of your ability, Damian, I don't know what is.

Me too! did you make it last night? I really meant to seek you out but didn't think about it until we were leaving! Drats! Jason Thompson stopped a talked with us a bit. He did a lot of walking in and out. Cousins was posted courtside!

Stevie Johnson (Buffalo Bills) was also in the house. He played JC football with my son and Dame's brother Houston at Chabot College, they are part of the Certified Fly movement (thus the Flyguy tags). One of the Sac State supporters (who also happens to be Kendall Hill's grandmother!) was sitting behind me and she said they haven't had a crowd that large this entire season--the students don't support the team, alumni does. She made a special effort to be at this game to check out the WSU team. She was :-D !

I always get lost trying to find the--well it's not an arena--more like a high school gym. I kept asking students how to find the gym and they would point me to the workout facility... and it is laughable. I don't know how they recruit anyone to come play there!

qwerky,

sorry i didnt get to meet you. did you see the guy getting the signed pic from dame for his son? i was sitting next to him at the game. i was also sitting next to a former weber football player at the game that was from sac. he recognized stevie from across the court since he is a big football fan, good to know the connection.

Aw me too! And we were sitting in the same row! :wall: Were you out in the foyer waiting for the team to come out too? I saw the guy with the photo out there too.

It's about time he gets some ESPN recognition! I have been sending Eamonn articles on Lillard often throughout the year, glad to hear they took some notice... he has been awesome all season long, it is good that people are recognizing it. It's too bad he won't merit player of the year consideration, because he certainly deserves some.

a good analogy would be if we were ranked we would be the boise state of basketball since kellen moore was never really considered a legit heisman candidate even though he was an amazing player who has many records including the most wins in ncaa football history.
