"I just kind of had to make a decision between Weber State and BYU, and I just felt like I needed to be at BYU," he said. "I wasn't just thinking about the school. I was trying to think about the area I'll be living in, and I felt like Ogden wasn't really my kind of scene, and coming back from the mission, I just kind of felt like Provo would be more of a help to surround myself with people who kind of know what I went through and what I'm trying to get."

Uh...Provo can have you. I hope the door hit you on the way out.

The 6-foot-2 Lolohea wasn't recruited by BYU during high school, but Cougar coaches learned about the linebacker/defensive end prior to his return home from his mission in July.

Lolohea, who becomes the 15th player to commit to the Cougars as part of their Class of 2017, is the older brother of East High School linebacker/defensive end Jordan Lolohea, a highly touted prospect who is considering BYU, Utah and Washington.

Good luck in a program that didn't want him. Sounds like he's getting used for a chance to get little brother. I don't know what he learned on his mission, but I remember learning about loyalty, commitment, and keeping your word.

I never talk down on any other schools

You just did, dude. And you went to West High and probably grew up in Rose Park or Glendale, how could Ogden not be your kind of scene?

:thumb: I also learned humility and making the most out of hard situations. He is looking for an easy fix. I don't want a turd who rips on my community, playing for my school. Let him go to BYU, get a Jetta and wear socks with his sandals. Oh AJ, don't walk on the grass!

I don't think the community should offense to his words. I think they are more a reference to the LDS values of Provo. I have heard LDS athletes and students say the same thing about Salt Lake and Logan. I don't blame him for going where he thinks is best for him. However, he could have had more class when talking about the place that gave him an opportunity.
