Alaska Airlines Livery-No PSU

I work by PDX and every day I notice an Alaska Airlines plane decked out in color schemes of some of the Big Sky schools (UM, MSU, EWU and Idaho mainly). Notice which school in the area is missing. If these Big Sky schools can "infringe" on our territory, why can't we have one in our color scheme flying around the Northwest (particularly flying around Montana). It would seem to make sense when Portland is considered a minor hub for Alaska Airlines, to have a plane in PSU's color scheme promoting the university.

I'll vote for that!

I've always wondered why we haven't included ourselves since Alaska started decking out some of their planes with university colors.

Gee, isn't this the sort of efforts for which Valerie Cleary draws a salary? She needs to find out from informational staff what the status is exactly regarding these planes and, if it is as you say, petition the company directly for recognition and non-discrimination.

One reason may be because of our recent rebranding. Things like this for a company like Alaskan aren't done overnight, are planned out well in advance. The school may have been contacted, but since they knew Nike was designing a new logo, and it was going to be a deep dark secret till the revealing.

Now that it has been made public, as far as we know, negotiations and concept designs for school approval, may be in the process for a plane with PSU livery as we speak.
