• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Alex Tew, a 6'10/11, 240 lb center has signed with us. To me, he looks like a big, strong kid with a lot of potential, but is somewhat of a project. He is originally from England and I hope he works out better than our last Brit. Last year, at a prep school in California, he averaged 18 points and 12 rebounds per game. For his British club he scored about the same, but averaged 15 rebounds per game. Like I said, he is a project with a lot of up side.

Although I don't think we will, we could still sign 3 more players for the upcoming season.

Danko jr.. definitely a project. I hope he pans out. I was hoping for a higher level d1 transfer. You never know with recruiting
With, potentially, three grants to give, we are still in the market for some high level transfers. I feel that, this year in particular, there will be some high major players floating around all summer. Will we get one or two of them? I couldn't say for certain, but we certainly wouldn't turn that sort of player down, if the fit is right. However, I do think that we will be looking for guys with more than one year remaining.

The thing I do like about Tew is that he rebounds and defends at a high level. That is why his upside is so high. Will he work out in the long run? Only time will tell. At least he will have some time to develop. Goodness knows what he will look like after a little time in the weight room, and a little time to work on his offensive game. Kids with his size and frame don't just grow on trees.

Here is an update on Tew's development. It's looking more and more like he will not be red shirting. In fact he is pushing our pevious starters for PT. We shouldn't be surprised to see him in the rotation come December. At this point he is a 5 man all the way. His jump shot is good to about 15 ft, but he is a force in the paint. Randy added a real gem in the late recruiting last spring.
