OGDEN - It's time for another Weber State Men's Basketball Alumni Classic. Wildcat fans can see some of the greatest players to ever suit up at Weber State at the Alumni Classic which will be held Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Dee Events Center. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a shooting stars and a 3-point contest, followed by the alumni game.
WSU hosted an alumni game in 2015 and this year's game will again have the support of Weber State All-American and NBA All-Star Damian Lillard, who will be the featured participant of the evening. Lillard will compete in the shooting stars contest and the 3-point contest and will also serve as one of the coaches for the alumni game. More details of the classic will be announced soon.
Among the former Wildcat greats that are scheduled to compete in the game this year are former Big Sky MVP's Harold Arceneaux, Davion Berry, Jermaine Boyette, Jimmy DeGraffenried and David Patten. Several other players including Kyle Bullinger, Ryan Cuff, Pat Danley, Nick Hansen, Darin Mahoney, Frank Otis, Nic Sparrow and Chris Woods are also set to play, among others. Former Weber State head coaches Ron Abegglen and Phil Johnson and current head coach Randy Rahe will join Lillard and others in coaching the teams in the game. The full rosters will be announced later.
General admission tickets will be $5 for the event. Tickets are on sale now at the Weber State Ticket Office at the Dee Events Center or by visiting WeberStateTickets.com. WSU students will get in free with a valid student ID.
