Another All-American Third Team Award Dame; Rahe to CSU??

Happy to see Lillad garnish more attention. However, what is this with Rahe? Would he leave WSU for CSU??? Not sure who the sources are, but I can't see Rahe leaving what he has is place for that job? According to UtahsRights.com, he is making around $333,000 per year!!! That should honestly be enough right?

Thankfully, even though if offered I'm sure Rahe would take it, CSU's former coach Tim Miles is leaving to take over at Nebraska, three years and he will be looking for another job, and is leaving CSU with talent and a solid staff. In most situations when a successful coach leaves a program the school will hire in house. I'm guessing that the interim coach, former Associate Head coach at CSU will get the nod.

they mention both Smith and Nedved.

Mike Dunlap, an assistant at St. John's/ coached at metro st a few years back, and
led them to d2 championships.

Randy Rahe, Weber st coach who was a former CSU assistant

Steve McLain, Indiana assistant and former WYO coach

Scott Sutton, Oral Roberts HC

Rob Jeter, Wisconsin-milwaukee coach

CSU was paying Miles $750,000.

I don't think their is a Ton of Love for Stew & Rahe at CSU, but who knows. There is a reference on Ram Nation calling him Randy "Flash Card" Rahe. His buddy Tad has done pretty well at Colorado, but leaving NoCo & Weber St. are 2 very different situations with pay, & everything else.

Not sure if they will offer him a job, but it would have to be tempting for him if they do.

As Bluefun said, Miles was set to make $750K this year. They are a team that went to the tournament and returns almost everyone, including adding some nice pieces. They should contend for a Mountain West crown next year. On the flipside, with Lillard likely gone, WSU takes a little step back (even though they're still talented enough to win the Big Sky)... if CSU comes calling, I think it would be tough for Rahe not to listen.

For all the lack of SLC media coverage it didn't take them long to pounce on this.
Of course it takes Roy Burton 3 weeks to get around to report verbal commits, but 5 minutes to be all over this. All of this from a list of candidates from the Coloradoan newspaper?

just as with football. It's hilarious how other newspapers give
them credence as if they are in the know.

Of course I'm hoping here, but I don't think, especially with the list of names along with Rahe's, that we will be losing our coach. I'm under the impression that CSU will retain someone from Miles staff, who is remaining at CSU. There isn't any other reason why two of his assistants wouldn't have followed him to Nebraska.

Purple, I've got to agree with you. I don't see Miles staying long in Lincoln. If Doc Sadler couldn't turn that program around, I don't know if anyone can. Lets hope that Shavon Sheilds leaves and comes to Weber now. I wouldn't doubt that Ray Gallegos is looking for a new home too.
