This page lets you know what is coming up at EWU.
First real game next Saturday night at Washington State.
Can't wait. Hopefully we can cause an upset or at least give then a scare.

Holy BLEEP we took a lot of 3's. We shot a lot last year too, but 41 attempts!? Concordia's %'s went up in all categories in the second half. It may be only one game, but I don't like that at all.

Don't forget that this is not a NCAA game. Coach is probably still working on the best team combinations. It was all over in the first half so second half was most likely trying new combos etc. What is really good is this game indicates that our rebounding and blocks (i.e. defensive game) are not likely to suffer too much as a result of losing our seniors last year - the new guys will just slip in there and do the job. Colin only got 10 minutes - like that will happen in a real game now that he is fully fit? I don't think so :kisswink:

41 threes is probably more than they will take in a game all year, but Coach Hayford does love the 3 ball.

Really looking forward to Venky Jois... hear lots of great things about him. Can't wait to watch him once the games count... think he could be the best freshman in the conference.

How Chiverton got up 13 shots in only 10 minutes is actually kind of amazing...

I'm not surprised in the least. To put it nicely, Chiverton doesn't seem to pass much.

Last year he was a black hole! Never passed even when guys were open. Very frustrating to watch sometimes.

I, for one, am not holding my breath waiting for Chiv to get an assist. At least he did get a few rebounds. Last year he wouldn't pass the ball, refused to play defense, and had no interest in rebounding. Hopefully, this year he will do something other than be, as George Costanza would say, a "chucker".

I asked last week if anybody knew details of our intrasquad game, and was told we actually had 2 intrasquad games. I heard the guards played well in both. No surprise because that is where we have experience. Heard that Winford was in the zone in both games. He scored 38 points in one, and 26 in the other. Combined with his performance vs Concordia it looks like he could have a great senior year similar to Colimon last year.

Let's kick the Cougs' a**
