Are there any plans for PSU to go

DI-A any time soon? Lots of DI-A schools have student populations similar to or smaller than Portland State.

Anybody have any real info?

money is a huge factor along with not many people showing out for the games...well not enough for D- I-A standards

talent wise, I think we could keep up in conferences like the Sun Belt

but such a thing is years away...

PSU could currently compete in the WAC and finish in the top half.

If there was a way for PSU to get past any attendance requirements for 1A entrance, the only thing (on their end) stopping it would be someone having the balls to go for it.

Once at the 1A level, I firmly believe that attendance will at least triple if not quadruple and PSU would flourish.

I agree...... with the attendance part(WAC is gaining in strength)

if PSU were to go to the D-IA level, our talent level would increase big time

I promise you, players would love to play in the beautiful city of portland rather then the crappy cities of some schools
