Has anybody else seen this article and poll? Does anybody know anymore about this?

We have another thread in regards to the article here:

After this coming football season PSU's contract with JWF will be up, but I don't think that we'll be losing JWF. Just longer negotiations of what we want/need in the upcoming years to help generate revenue for the football program.

When I hear the name Providence Park, I can't help but think of Providence Health & Service. This brings to mind that there is a basis for a relationship with another health care system with which PSU can align itself.

Portland State University has long-held a debt of gratitude to Henry J. Kaiser.

His Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation provided PSU's original home as "Vanport College," 1946-1948. When the notorious Vanport Flood destroyed the college's venue on Memorial Day, 1948, it was again Henry J. Kaiser's Oregon Shipbuilding Corporation coming to PSU's rescue, this time as "Oregon Ship":

I think it wise to use this endearing history as a basis for Portland State to have a close relationship with Kaiser-Permanente, also originated by Henry J. Kaiser, a kind of endearment relationship similar to that which the UO had with Walt Disney.

Grant Wahl does many things at Sports Illustrated, but he's generally the main soccer guy. He finally swung by Portland last night. Curious comment to say the least.
