• Hi Guest,

We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Contain the run, make him beat you with his arm. That's relatively obvious with weather like today though.

Offense - Our running game needs to make a presence today. Mix up the zone-read, RPA, with shorts routes to mitigate the effects of the wind.

Defense - I don't think we have much of a choice but to stack the box against UNI's running game, and hope that the wind effects their QB's accuracy. DE's need to play disciplined on the edge and not let Bailey get outside of the pocket.

I think you guys should feel really good, watch Iowa struggle with NDSU. I have no doubts UNI will not be able to keep up with you guys.

Defense- Contain the QB. A linebacker should spy him all game. If he is passing the spy backer blitzes. As long as he has the ball the designated spy backer should be studying his eyes. If everyone else does their job their offense is severely limited.

Offense- balance, balance, balance. We have good running backs but they need more chances to show it. Gage should run less than he has. Use Cooper as a decoy even if you do not intend to pass to him, he will draw the safety as double team and allow another receiver to get separation.

Special teams- Our coverage has been weak at best. We have an outstanding punter/kicker but if they can get returns of 10-20 yards per it is too good field position.

All reasonable plans of attack. Would add:

D -- press/tight coverage to make the QB hold the ball and give our DL a chance to work upfield

O -- Would like to work the RB's into the flats as receivers to get them one on one with LB's and spread the field for GG a little better. Too many tight throws into double/triple coverage last week and not enough space in the middle for him to pull it down and run.

ST: Higher or deeper kicks and more aggression. OK with taking care of the ball on returns without TO's vs. big plays. 80 yd drives don't mean much to this offense. Last week the avg. TD drive was 70 yds.
