Assistant Coach Brady Bergeson landed the HC job at Western Oregon (D-II). Any guesses at who Katz will look to replace him with and any thoughts about how this will impact the program? :?:

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — After three seasons at Sacramento State, Brady Bergeson is leaving the Hornets to become the head men's basketball coach at Western Oregon, it was announced today.

Bergeson has served as an assistant coach at Sacramento State since the 2008-09 season. His duties with the Hornets included recruiting and serving as the team's offensive coordinator. Bergeson also worked with the guards and assisted in scouting and academic development.

At this point, not a clue. I like Brady. Good guy. He will be missed, but very happy for him he is getting a head gig. Good luck Brady at WOU!

It would be nice if Katz did NOT. And I'm sure he'd want to safeguard against that possible home loss to his D2 protege going on his record around contract time.
