Harrell getting his first action of the year and adding some much needed rebounding early. No shot attempts yet but the kid brings good size for a guard. Good to see him out there.

lets go eags!

Good to see Harrell in the game. He is definitely going to improve this team.

IMO defense killed the EAGS again. They got beat many times in transition and drives to the basket. They are not going to win many games if they don't start working on defense.

A couple of close losses on the road. Needless to say, this team isn't going to win 24 games this year. It's definitely a work in progress. The good news is I think there's a lot of upside to this group. It's going to take longer for all these new players to gel. That said, I think we'll be in the mix come conference tournament time. I think we'll win most of our BSC games at home.

I haven't seen much of the team this year, but based on the results and some losses to really bad teams, is it safe not to expect much this season?

Seemed like we've lost almost every close game this year when we were winning them last year. Is the heart just not there? Is there any hope for a turnaround?

There is definitely hope for a turnaround but I don't know that we finish top 2 during the regular season. I think Ranger is on track when he says we're going to be "in the mix" this year. But, I think "in the mix" means that we will have a shot in March. In the mean time, WE HAVE TO PLAY BETTER DEFENSE and that's the bottom line. The talent is there and some teams take longer to gel than others. Right now, you don't know which Eags team is going to show up. We will beat a good team, than lose to a mediocre team. With EVERY Big Sky team making it to Reno this year, all that really matters is that we put it all together by March. It's like any other sport, the team that gets hot and goes on a run at the end of the season is the team that wins the championship. This team definitely has the firepower to do it but we aren't going anywhere in March without DEFENSE. In basketball, defense is a mindset. We clearly don't have it yet. I want to see our guys diving on the floor and playing TOUGHNOSED ball. That's what wins! Not there yet.

go eags!
