Huge final four games for the Hornets. The Hornets are 12 point underdogs to the Wildcats tonight.

Sagerin has the Hornets ranked 7th in the Big Sky right now, also behind Idaho State and Montana, but ahead of Montana State; hopefully, we can get at least one more win, but we should be able to pick up at least two if we continue to play the way we've been playing of late; the road isn't our friend tho, so I hate to get my hopes up too soon - and I won't either - based on Sac State's tradition.

Go Hornets!

Hornets hanging tough midway through the 1st. 25-17 WSU lead. WSU is hot from beyond the arc. Hornets are sucking wind, Katz needs to rotate in some bodies more frequently.

Cheap foul called on WSU's big man for his 2nd with under 8 mins to go. Big call in the Hornets favor, lets see if they attack the paint more...

41-34 WSU at half. Every time the Hornets get close they leave an open shooter for a 3. They are playing well all things considered. WSU turnovers have kept this one closer than it should be.

We're looking good at times; need to play more "D" on the 3 point line and underneath.

North Dakota just took down PSU, so move to 10-7; PSU to 8-9.

Hornets open the 2nd half with back to back moving screen calls and WSU is up 11. Probably buries us in this one.

Terrible foul call on Stuteville... WSU is getting hot, we need to push the pace if we want a chance...

We don't have the depth to push the pace.

Down 11 with 14 mins to go.

Stuteville has been huge. Now Garrity has to get going.
Garrity has been a complete non factor tonight. Off balance shots, poor decisions, one of his worst games I have ever seen.

EWU is embarrassing UNC. SUU hanging around MSU. NAU is running away from ISU.

Garrity has really been struggling lately, at home too; his shot has disappeared plus too many poor passes.
And he throws one away right on que. :ohno:

60-53 WSU with under 8 to go. WSU in the bonus.

NAU up 3 with under 5 to go. SUU and MSU tied with under 6 to go. EWU still beating the shit out of UNC with 8 to go.

Gotta like the way we're competing though. UNC getting smoked. With a win tonight, 2 seed could've been a possibility, not now.

The Hornets are gases. I just don't think there is enough in the tank for a push at the end of this one.

Wow Garrity is sucking it up. He needs to have a seat next to the coaches.

Maybe (?) we can muster one last strong push here to see what happens???
Nope, WSU 3 off of another Garrity turnover. I think that seals it.

71-59 WSU lead under 4 to go.

SUU LEADS MSU by a couple with 2 to go. NAU up 4 with less than 2. UNC will cruise to defeat.

ISU losses by one, SUU-MSU into OT.

79-67 WSU wins. Hornets hung tough but just went cold down the stretch. ISU is now a must win.

Looks like Katz threw in the towell with over a minute to go as we brought the ball down with only four guys on the court; none of our coaches or players even noticed, but the refs felt sorry for us and stopped play; looks like we were "gassed"; couldn't even think straight any longer.
