• Hi Guest,

    We've updated the site to combine all the forums that were part of the Big Sky Fans Network into one location. This will make it easier to navigate and participate in all the discussions for each school without having to have multiple accounts, etc. We are still working out some tweaks but please let us know if you notice anything.

    With the migration, in some circumstances, your username could have been merged with one of your other usernames from the other forums. If this is the case, you can request to change your username in your account details page of your profile.

Regarding Coach Ord and women's basketball, the scuttlebutt is that her job is safe through next season right now. Yeah her career coaching record here isn't amazing, but she is making noticeable improvements to the team (increasing number of wins each of last two seasons, bringing in good talent).

The difference between Ord and Peterson (who came in at the same time) is Ord is showing some improvement with the team, while Peterson never did.

Thanks Tal;

I had a good chuckle over coffee this morning.

My feelings are that we are seeing the direct results of 30+ years of neglecting to grow the student fan base. I think they wrote a song about it. "Don't it always seem to go, You don't know what you got till it's gone."

This is one of the biggest issues facing Weber State Athletics. We need reel in students while they are here. I have friends that are Weber graduates but are "die hard" cougar or Ute fans. I am surprised that local mortuaries aren't fighting for advertising space in sections L & M.

The Maverick deal is the best thing they ever got. I'm shocked Weber never has approached Maverick. Hell their CEO and President is a major Weber State guy.

Maybe add on the issue that perhaps Weber State (understandably) has relied too much on the Ogden area blessed philanthropists for the big bucks support and they are either already on, or will be going on the wrong side of the grass with the rest of us grouchy old complaining posters (per 'youngguns') in the near future!

Important to really push marketing with the community businesses as well as building students into long term fans!!! That's one thing USU has/is doing well under Barnes & his predecessors. Graybeal & Bovee need to do more on it!
