Attendance for ISU

I would love to see a huge push to get a ton of people out to the game who have never been before. We have a great opportunity to share the great product that EWU puts on the field with people in the Spokane area, especially considering that WSU has a bye week. Time to step up and help our fanbase grow! We need more butts in the seats heading into the playoffs, so why not start now? I've posted something over on cougfan.com trying to recruit any bored coug "Jonesing" for some live football to come and check us out, but everybody needs to help out. Harass your co-workers and get em out there!! GO EAGS!

The coach's need to put to something together; like a white, red or black out. The coach's are the ones responsible for the promos.

Bill Chaves had a good point as to why there wasn't a great turnout this last week... the 4 day weekend. Should be a lot more students out this week, plus it's Senior Day/Parents weekend and a conference game, I'd be willing to be we get 7500+

I'd rather the coaches get ready for the game. Let the AD and SID work on getting butts in the seats...

I've recruited two newbies and I'm working on several more. 8-)

Great! I've got a few and have been lurking on cougfan trying to convince some of those folks to come check us out. To me their bye week is the perfect opportunity.

I agree. I wish our marketing and PR folks would get some radio and broadcast ads going. That being said, 7000 isn't out of the question for reasons listed on other threads. I just want every Eag fan to do their part to keep this momentum rolling for our guys. They deserve it!

I gotta say it - ARE YOU HIGH? It's Senior Day and so all (or hopefully all) of the senior parents will be in attendance - but that isn't going to get us to 7500+. It's on SWX again and rain/snow are projected throughout the area from Wednesday through Friday and snow showers on Saturday. No how, no way we get that number. And while ISU is a conference game, if you look at it in writing (which is what most people will do) it APPEARS to be an easy win for us. That may NOT be the case - given the weather, given the pressure to win and what that means and surely there are other factors.

I will go one step further and say on December 4th we'll be fighting a losing battle to get folks in seats as well with the Apple Cup just down the road that day. The Cougs haven't filled Martin Stadium once this year, but this will be the game they do. And for those not going, not having tickets - they will watch IT on TV because everyone is going to want to know who is going to be the ultimate Washington losing Pac-10 team. It's lame, but it's fact.

I don't think any marketing scheme is going to help us until the 11th!

It is also military appreciation day, any veteran or active military get in for free....Problem is that it will be 32 degrees with a chance of snow, weather will keep a lot of people away...I will be bringing a truck load of people out...looking forward to the game

Go Eags!

That's typically a night game on one of the ESPN's. That would be very cool (literally and figuratively.)

Exactly....A night game on an ESPN station is the ultimate goal, but who knows how likely it actually is....I know a good portion of it is about bidding, but we will find out soon enough.

Really looking forward to Saturdays game...

If we earn a seed that means we get home field throughout the playoffs. When we had the game against Sam Houston in '04, we had to bid for it to be in Cheney, but I'm not sure if that had anything to do with ESPN choosing to broadcast it at night. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see us get a Friday night game on ESPN 2.

Of course, it all means nothing if we don't take care of business this Sat! Can't wait!
