What can we do to help increase attendance at next weeks games?

The #3 and #2 teams in the Big Sky are visiting the Dee next Thursday and Saturday, and our Wildcats have got to have good crowds to help them. Is a full and loud student section to much to ask for?

I honestly think a full section is a lot to ask for because marketing on campus sucks. Plus our fearless SBO is getting married so he will be pre occupied and wont be doing any advertising at all. Even though there isnt much done by any WSUSA/SAA members

It isnt the SBO's job to schedule his life around the basketball team. He has done a lot for Weber, but its also not his job to promote the sports teams as well. There are people who are paid and given scholarships for specifically this reason right? Find out who they are and make sure they are doing their job so we can pack the student section! I do agree it would be nice to see a microphone and speakers outside the Union asking for support.

Get a major sponsor to give tix away again like America First did for the Montana game? That seemed to help a little. The night we had the Ogden School district kids fill the better part of two sections was fantastic. Those grade-schooler's energy and volume  was only second to when USU comes to town :ohno: . As for how to light a fire within the students, I've got nuthin :wall: -- good luck with that.

I'm not really sure, but what is the purpose of SAA, WSUSA, or Cat Pack? If alumni wants future members, or increased membership now, wouldn't you want to build connections with the current and future alumni that are going to be providing the institution with needed $$$ in the future. It is an easy idea...loyalty = memberships, which ='s $$$. Yikes, totally mind boggling concept to grasp for some. $$$ doesn't grow on trees and for WSU, it seems we have to work harder than other state schools to get better returns. But, as stated previously, there are students and staff receiving compensation to build student unity, trust, loyalty, and lifelong commitment. Frankly, that just isn't happening. And if it isn't happening now, then future season ticket holders will diminish, Wildcat Club membership will continue to shrink, and worse of all the alumni participation will become anemic and dependent more and more on 1 or 2 alumni instead of on thousands of happy, loyal Wildcats. Our "connected" alumni are dying off and getting older and ARE NOT being replaced by as dedicated alumni from the younger, more numerous, generations of graduates or students. Whose fault is this? SAA, WSUSA, Ambassadors, SAAC, or any organization that receives assistance for the purpose of building connections between the university and its students. FAILS!! Makes me beyond angry. My grades were good, but they would have been great, but I didn't shirk my duties as an officer and leader on the campus as a student. I am extremely proud of what I did as a student, and in awe of the service rendered by my peers and the SBO's when I was a student. They were seen and present on campus. Most importantly they organized other leaders and got varied projects approved, funded, and executed in a prompt and advantageous manner. Work isn't just a word in a punch line but a word of action and effort. You actually have to do what you say. Integrity is lacking at Weber State and it is sad to watch leaders get scholarships that I'm helping to pay for, not used for the mission and objective of their stated purposes. I am calling on Wilson to either work or pay it back. The entire SAA need to pay back their scholarships. YIKES...sad.

Actually talked to a member of WSUSA this week and he said he hasnt gotten anything from WSUSA or SAA about anything basketball. They decided to bag all football activities (can we blame them) and focus on basketball and I guess no one picked it up.
Ha the WSUSA facebook page says "Do you have an issue or idea for weber state? Tell us whats on your mind. Were here for you!"
What a crock of crap..
