I'm not really sure, but what is the purpose of SAA, WSUSA, or Cat Pack? If alumni wants future members, or increased membership now, wouldn't you want to build connections with the current and future alumni that are going to be providing the institution with needed $$$ in the future. It is an easy idea...loyalty = memberships, which ='s $$$. Yikes, totally mind boggling concept to grasp for some. $$$ doesn't grow on trees and for WSU, it seems we have to work harder than other state schools to get better returns. But, as stated previously, there are students and staff receiving compensation to build student unity, trust, loyalty, and lifelong commitment. Frankly, that just isn't happening. And if it isn't happening now, then future season ticket holders will diminish, Wildcat Club membership will continue to shrink, and worse of all the alumni participation will become anemic and dependent more and more on 1 or 2 alumni instead of on thousands of happy, loyal Wildcats. Our "connected" alumni are dying off and getting older and ARE NOT being replaced by as dedicated alumni from the younger, more numerous, generations of graduates or students. Whose fault is this? SAA, WSUSA, Ambassadors, SAAC, or any organization that receives assistance for the purpose of building connections between the university and its students. FAILS!! Makes me beyond angry. My grades were good, but they would have been great, but I didn't shirk my duties as an officer and leader on the campus as a student. I am extremely proud of what I did as a student, and in awe of the service rendered by my peers and the SBO's when I was a student. They were seen and present on campus. Most importantly they organized other leaders and got varied projects approved, funded, and executed in a prompt and advantageous manner. Work isn't just a word in a punch line but a word of action and effort. You actually have to do what you say. Integrity is lacking at Weber State and it is sad to watch leaders get scholarships that I'm helping to pay for, not used for the mission and objective of their stated purposes. I am calling on Wilson to either work or pay it back. The entire SAA need to pay back their scholarships. YIKES...sad.
