Another example of a stupid regulations.

Three undrafted rookies – Oregon receiver Bralon Addison, Oregon State defensive tackle Kyle Peko and Eastern Washington guard Aaron Neary – cannot attend OTAs because their class has yet to go through graduation. “There is nothing they can do,” Kubiak said. “I think they’re June 12th graduates. It’s really sad. I think a lot of people have kind of spoken out [about that regulation], but they should have an opportunity to get here. Those three guys are caught in—I guess they are tri-semester or something like that. They’re going to miss out on everything. That’s unfortunate. We’re kind of having to coach them long distance. It’s going to be their job to come in here and be ready to compete.” …

Same applied for Jake Rodgers last year... he had to sit out of OTA's until mid June as well. Puts them at a disadvantage against colleges with spring graduations. Although they do get the advantage of playing a few college games at the start of each year without worrying about classes and homework.

Smart players (like Neary) can learn the schemes without the physical run throughs, and join the team rested up and un-bruised. Only learning curve is getting up to NFL caliber tempo on day 1.
