Band Camp Update

It has been a busy few days at band camp. Here's an update.......

At the popular kid prom (NCAA Tournament), most of the band kids were sent packing after the first song. However, the rich, smart trombone player (Harvard) cut in and stole away the cocky linebackers (New Mexico) girlfriend. The hick, bully drummer that eats lunch at our table at band camp (Montana) got knocked out cold in the parking lot by the running back on the football team (Syracuse).

Meanwhile, at the drama club dance (NIT), the flute player that tries to pretend he is too cool for band camp (YBU), is looking pretty good and will likely hang around for a few more songs. But no matter what happens at the drama club dance, we all know he is still just the flute player in the band.

The coolest kid left at band camp (Weber) beat up the guy in the band that twirls the flags with all the girls (Cal Poly). Now the coolest cat gets to take on the kicker from the football team that really shouldn't be at the band camp dance (Air Force). It will be tough fight, but the kicker is going to go down!

You have to love band camp this time of year. :rockon:

This weekend with band kids…..

At the popular kid prom (NCAA tournament)......
The 9th grade equipment manager from the band (Florida Gulf Coast) snuck into the back door of the dance and then stole the show by tripping the star wide receiver (Georgetown) into the punch bowl during the first song. During the second song, the cocky cornerback (San Diego State) was strutting around the dance floor with his pants sagging. The 9th grade equipment manager came up from behind and depantsed the cornerback, exposing his Hello Kitty boxer shorts. The cornerback left the dance humiliated and now the 9th grade equipment manager is facing his older brother, the tight end on the football team (Florida).

Two of the most popular kids at band camp (Gonzaga & Wichita State) squared off in front of the cheerleaders during the popular kid dance. The bass drummer (Gonzaga) has been getting lots of attention from the pretty girls at the popular kid dance. The snare drummer (Wichita) told the cheerleaders that the bass drummer wets the bed and hangs out with the flute player (BYU) at band camp. The bass drummer left the dance with his head hung.

Another really popular member of the drumline, (Crieghton) announced that he was giving up band to hang out with the Catholic members of the football team (the new Big East). The quarterback of the football team (Duke) decided it would be proper initiation to beat the crap out of him during the second song of the dance.
16 kids are left at the popular kid dance, and two of them are from band camp.

Meanwhile, back at the band camp dance (CIT)…..
The cool Tuba player (Weber State) squared off against the kicker from the football team (Air Force). It took the Tuba player a little while to find the kicker because he wore camo to try and blend into the floor. Once the stealthy kicker was located, the tuba player quickly and respectfully pinned him into submission. Everyone left at the band camp dance is looking to be no match for the tuba player.

At the drama club dance (NIT)…..
The flute player (YBU) is squaring off against the guy who plays the glockenspiel (Mercer). The glockenspiel player gets made fun of at band camp because he hung a banner from his bunk last year when he was the last cool kid left at the band camp dance. The two kids that get teased a lot at band camp are squaring off, this should be exciting.
