Banner Year?

Well, since we can't put up banners for conference titles in football, we do it for years in which anything positive can be said! So.... what should be put on the scoreboard for this year?

It's a banner year for Weber State football! 5-6 with
a .500 record in conference! So what should the "banner" say
behind the scoreboard?

A. 2007 - The team that had a game mentioned in
Sports Illustrated

B. 2007 - The team that was so good that an Alabama
transfer didn't even start

C. 2007 - The team that set up the personnel for a
succesful 2008

D. 2007 - The team that played in the same
subdivision as a team that beat Michigan

E. 2007 - All of the above (build a new scoreboard
to write it all)

It has to be B. what a disappointment that turned out to be. But one thing is for sure we have a lot for promise next year.

Speaking of Barnes, what ever happened with him? Did he get his knee scoped, what are his plans for next year? He did start out with some lousy performances but did his knee have something to do with it. It is always better to have 2 good qb's than just 1. It breeds competition and makes both players work harder, which should make our team that much better next year.

Barnes did have his knee scoped... However, he is most likely not going to be coming back next season. Weber has three excellent QB's right now. The Redshirt QB, who was the scout teams leader (can't think of his name right now), in all likelyhood, will be the #2 and will pressure Cam all year to progress and develop. Lets not forget about Doyle, he is a good QB and would have been a good starter if Cam hadn't done so well this season. So, in essence all three of our QB's could start and lead the team next season. Cam is definitely the starter, but lets hope he stays out of trouble and really works hard this offseason.
