The Hornets (29-23, 11-7 WAC) sit in second place in the WAC standings after scoring 10 runs on 12 hits with no errors and sweeping a conference foe for the first time since 2008, when they also swept Hawai'i at home. In fact, Sacramento State is 11-1 against the Rainbows at home since winning the final contest of a three-game series in 2007.
They clinched a berth in the WAC tournament with their win over Fresno State in the previous WAC series.
