Basketball...the dreaded Montana trip

Well, NAU has played itself into having a shot at the post season. That is something many (Big Sky coaches...media...myself during non-conference) thought impossible.

Their game Saturday vs. Weber reminded me of NAU's heydays when the Weber game was a battle for Big Sky supremacy. Jacks left it all on the court but WSU made the plays when they had to. Props to them. It was a shame someone had to lose. If NAU can keep that pace up, I wouldn't be surprised to see 1 or 2 wins this week in Montana. That's a tall task, historically, but it's possible as MSU is swooning a bit and the Griz are down two starters.

Glad I got to see Saturday's game live. Shows me what NAU hoops can be. King - Watch it on Big Sky TV video on demand, if you missed it.

Win two and NAU's guaranteed a spot in the tourney. Win one and they have a shot. Lose two and....I don't know but I'd have to guess it's doubtful they earn a bid.

Oh I didn't miss it. I was watching on NAU-TV. I was shocked that we had Weber in a choke hold with 3 minutes to go, but somehow we found a way to lose. Too bad, because that would have been an epic upset. Good for the Jacks to give Weber more than they were expecting.

Montana is a tough trip. This will be no different. They both defend their court very well and get a good number of fans to come out to their games, so both these games will be tough. I would love to see us get a win. Two is kinda wishing for too much, but one is possible...not easy by any means, but possible. I think if we beat MSU we almost get a spot in the tournament.

I would love to see us take Montana down in Missoula. That would be just as epic as the Weber win would have been. If we do that, Weber will be forever thankful. Here's for a week full of upsets :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

I've been unremarkably indifferent towards kitchen refurbishing up to this point. Annoyed by the concept at this point.

Jacks played tough but just couldn't get over the hump. A few untimely turnovers, a big deficit in the first half and cold O.T. shooting sealed the deal. Russell struggled a bit but I have faith he's going to be a gamer. Bummer for the loss but onward to Missoula. Beat em in football for the first time in ages. Time to beat em in hoops for the first time in ages.
