Baylor Bears

I work with the mother of Baylor's OC Lee Hays. She says after the humilating loss to Kansas St. last week he has told her that the Baylor football team, other than a coouple of good players is ABSOLUTE CRAP. Lee who is an alum of A&M Kingsville (whom we all fondly remember) has said he had a better team w/ better athletes at West Texas A&M. From what I understane he has been extremely vocal about Baylor's past recruiting success, or lack thereof, telling them that unless they improve Baylor will never be a considered as a cotender for the Big 12 title. He also thinks it is an even bet that after the season, the entire staff will be fired and a whole new staff will be hired.

Well the Baylor coach is gone and the word is Mike Singletary, the former Chicago Bear is the new coach. Lee's mother is not sure if he will stay as the OC or Mike will bring in his own staff.Last edited by on 2007-11-20, 13:57; edited 1 time in total

Well Lee came down to Kerrville for Thanksgiving and said since Mike Singletary has declined, it's anybodies guess as to who they will hire. I asked his mom if he would take the job. She said he would if only because of his family, but he doubts he will because he has told the school administration that their recruiting practices is crap, their team is crap and will always be the Big 12 doormat.

It is really sad to hear a coach in a FBS power conference like the Big 12 say such horrible things about his own team

Baylor got a solid coach in Briles. He has done well recruiting at Houston, and seems to have a vision for the program. I would like to see them improve because I don't really like any of the Big 12 South powers.
