... did anyone think Sac State would bomb Southern Utah?

... did anyone think Montana State would crush UND?

... did anyone think Weber State was 38 points better than an improving UC Davis?

... did anyone think Idaho State would lose to UNC one week after their biggest victory in forever?

... did anyone think Cal Poly would be winless after four games?

Crazy Big Sky this year.... I thought Weber State and Southern Utah looked like the two best teams early on. Now you have to wonder how good Sac State is after being within a TD of Weber and knocking the hell out of Southern Utah. The schedule remains difficult...

Dude, I don't know what to make of this conference. Tons of parity this year, or as grizz fans would say, a down year for the BSC.

Anytime the Griz lose more than 4 games in a season it's a "down" year for the BSC.

I'll be honest in that just two days ago I thought my tickets for Sac State and Montana State may not bring the zip-boom-bah of years past(and I was perfectly ok with that). Boy was I wrong especially with the results from all the games on Sat. I can't wait!!!

It looks like the Big Sky is anyone's to win this year.

Is it ours to lose? Weber looks very good and UND could still play spoiler if they turn it around. Certainly a more exciting BSC this season. One of the second tier teams can definitely step up and beat anyone this season. Eags are the class of the conference.

Big Sky is certainly scrambled. Montana State is the biggest shocker to me this year. I thought they had at least 2 more years of rebuild left, but that coach they brought in is a good one. I picked them to beat UND after I saw how they held their own against Washington State (who is now 4-0 and #16), but I didn't expect them to absolutely dismantle the fighting hawks.

I think with that performance, they are definitely in the runnings for the Big Sky title. It's probably between EWU, Weber State, and Montana State.

Not sure I'm there yet. They are MUCH improved, but I also think UND was so overrated. Still a road beat down like that is impressive. MSU is young and will be a very quality team moving forward. With that said, they are still very young, including their QB and young teams have a tendency to lay eggs at unexpected times. I think they're a 5-6 conference win team this year. It is looking however, like our homecoming game against Weber could end up being the championship game (if we play like the 2nd half team from Saturday)!

Many folks forget or didn't realize that UND was down 10 starters in that game as well. Not just any starters....3 all big Sky guys and 2 all Americans. They were a shell of themselves. And I don't say that to take anything away from MSU as they played very well and put together a good game plan. Just hard in FCS to play well or even compete when down that many guys.

Some of those UND "starters" haven't played a single rep since last spring, so using the same standard I think that MSU was "down" 6-7 "starters"

We've been missing a bunch of starters since the NDSU game, to include our top WR, our top offensive lineman, and our 320 lbs. nose tackle on the defensive line, a suspended starting CB, and there are a bunch of others. You can't just have "depth"...you have to have quality depth to see any sort of success these days.
