Beating Texas Tech = Playoffs

The way I see it, if for some reason WSU wins at TT, we would end the season at 7-4. That would be a very impressive win against a FBS school. How would the selection comittee keep WSU out of the playoffs with tht win and a 7-4 record? I'm tired of people writting this season off already. Arky and Roy Burton both seem to think that the season is over even if they win next week. Heck, WSU has alot more to play for other than only pride. It was making me sick listening to Arky talk about how they were playing only for pride. I hope the players think like me; win next week and you get into the playoffs!

Totally agree there. However, a win only gives them a chance to make the playoffs. With our poor fan attendance and the NCAA's greediness I could see us get snubbed and a 6 win Montana team still beating us in for the last playoff spot. It's all about the dollars, remember its cheaper to take a team back East then to put Weber in due to travel costs and such. I think we would deserve a playoff bid, but you put your fate into the selection committee who gave us a bid last year only to see us get thumped by W&M.
 
I agree WSUfan. If we pull off an upset we have a chance. The Big Sky is looked at as a strong conference. We received enough votes last week that with this win we could even squeak into 25th on the rankings this week. A win at TT would put us in the top 20. This is especially true if Montana loses to Monatana St.

It is hard not to be synical about the selection committee. Bigskychamps07 has a point about our low attendance and the economic impact of us compared to Montana. We can only hope for the best and go for a win on Saturday.

Go for the win boys! This will be a great season either way but causing a huge upset would be awesome.

I agree, just strap it up and go for it, got nothing to lose...whew, Lubbock, middle of absolutely nowhere...
 
Lubbock is a strange place. Really a dive of a city.

They have a tradition of throwing tortillas at football games. So, be ready to be struck by flying tortillas if you attend the game.

I hope all of you are correct that if Weber wins, they make the playoffs. Weber would have some quality wins to add to their resume: TTech (If they win), Montana, NAU. Hope it is enough to overcome Suck State. The loss to EWU & MSU is somewhat forgivable, but Suck State is a hard one to ignore.

Weber makes the playoffs, if...MSU beats UM, Eastern wins, and Weber beats Tech (which would be by far and away the biggest win in the Sky this season). Weber only wins if they are able to open up the running game by throwing the ball.

If UM Wins then I doubt the Sky gets four teams into the Playoffs. Also, Sac isn't a bad loss right now. They should have beaten both MSU and UM.
