Beehive Classic: Weber State vs. BYU

I'm never happy with a loss, but I was sure happy with the fight in our Wildcats tonight. This team is starting to turn the corner. I hope that Braxton and Chapman are not out for long. We've got to start league play in just a few weeks. We just needed one more guy, in tonight's game, to step up on the offensive side. It was a great game to be at. :coffee:

Team looked pretty good tonight still a lot of youth showing and hell of a rebound compared to what happened against Utah Valley

I felt the same thing watching. You can see that the freshman are getting much more comfortable. I was particularly impressed with Kozak who really battled having to play much of the night as our 5. Going so small may have helped Harding get to the rim as we were able to stretch them out defensively.

A pretty good basketball coach I particularly liked several years ago once observed that a good team usually wins a close game, loses a close game, blows someone out and gets blown out. I guess that's our experience so far. Hopefully we'll end up being that good team he was referencing in the end.

Agreed. This had the makings for a 30-point blowout without two of our top three players, but they went right at the Cougars.
