Ben Howland to be fired from UCLA

Ben will land on his feet. He is a good coach and will get picked up quickly. At UCLA it's a National Championship or you're out. He has hung on there longer than I thought he would. That is a tough crowd to coach for.

So, is UCLA going to make a play for Tinkle?

The PAC10 has a history of taking Montana coaches, and Montana doesn't seem to like him anymore. :yikes:

Maybe they go after Aultman at UNM or San Diego's coach.

Keep your hands and legs inside the ride. The coaching carousel is about to start. :nod:

Sad for Howland. UCLA had all those Final Fours, conference championships and tourney appearances and he just couldn't make em happy. These wanker, ingrate Bruins fans keep thinking the ghost of John Wooden's going to rise from the pumpkin patch and lead the Bruins to renewed glory...or something like that.

On a good note, I can now go back to despising UCLA.

ucla = lol
25-10 record
4 wins vs ranked teams (2 top 10 wins)
pac 12 champions

1st rd loss is a no-no at ucla as well it wasn't the best move to play beer pong with students a few weeks back. :rockon:

they don't deserve howland and their sense of entitlement should have disappeared by now as 1995 was 18 years ago. :roll: they dont deserve the type of program that is a national title contender when they cant sell out every home game. they should never have games with 6,000 when the capacity is nearly 14,000.

they had an amazing dynasty with wooden but 1 title since wooden. 1 since 1975...so 38 years. do they really expect to win a title every year? thats like us expecting to 6-peat in the big sky because we did it from 68-73.

i met john wooden in 1997 back when he was only 87. that was pretty cool. does anyone want to get my autograph? :thumb:

:coffee:
