Between adding bigger, more physical LBs and the bigger redshirt kids on the DL, this appears to be a pretty good start at "fixing" the 3-4 D.

It's amazing what the Health Sciences program at ISU can do for recruiting junior college football players!
These guys have the size to begin hospital orderly training immediately!

One thing I've learned about Coach Kramer is to never take anything he says too literally. He changes his mind like most of us change sox. He's a good guy, but I'd hate to be married to him. :D

Brad...I suspect that would be a tough go for him, too!

I like good recruiting but I would still like to se high school kids from Idaho

You will see far more Idaho high school players on Idaho State's roster, year after year, than on either BSU or U of I's roster. This past year, there were 36 Idahoans on the ISU roster. By contrast, BSU had 22 and U of I 16. And that's with bigger rosters and more scholarships to give.

I don't think anyone on this site would disagree with you. You still have to lay the keel before you christen the boat. Todays SE Idaho fourth graders may benefit from the program building of today.

Past posts indicated that some past JUCO players contributed to the past APR problems, Kramer would not visit JUCOs or recuit JUCO players due to the past APR problems, and that JUCO players would have to contact Kramer if they were interested in playing football at ISU. Well, that maybe true, but Kramer did sign 4 JUCO players this past week. That tells me that Kramer is still interested in JUCO players and that JUCO players will always be part of his program. Good for Kramer to offer scholarships to high school players, JUCO players, and some walk-ons if deserving. That is how you build a winning program.

For what it's worth Mike consistently has said publicly and on the radio that if JUCO's contact him, he'll listen but that he's not going to go out and actively recruit JUCO players or dropdowns because of the academic issues and the higher standards that ISU has imposed because of the APR issues under the past coaching staff.

That may change in the future. I assume these guys are the ones Mike said had contacted him because they were interested in the health science department at ISU.
