Go Eags!

Gotta love this! I hope WSU sees us more and more as a threat to their popularity dominance in eastern Washington. Is it common for a regional university to rival a state research university or hypothetically surpass them in terms of overall program quality? Are there any examples of that scenario that anyone can think of?

Go Eags!

Edit- Boise State.

Eastern is chosen as #1 football program in the state of Washington.

clawman,
Great news to read. We already knew we had an Outstanding Team in Football, the news just certified that for the Eagle Nation. No Roster for the 7 on 7, just popped up out there and there they were, which made me happy to see as a "Monkey in a barrel of Peanuts"     The Roster for this coming year is not published as yet, I think once the Feb 3rd comes and goes, we will have something out, hopefully. See you tonight at the game. Are you going to the FB Banquet this Saturday? We have a MBB Game at noon, the Banquet at 5 p.m. BTW, we cannot be happy with any of our Recruits until Feb. 3rd, that is when they sigh their letters, we could see names jumping all over until those letters are signed. Finally met Coach Eti Ena prior to watching the 7 on 7, he is very happy to be back. Coaches were in some type of meetings, they cannot be with the team Practices for a while yet. Vic Wallace

As much as I dislike the Oregon Ducks, they are a better program than Linfield all things considered which makes me question the validity of this, despite me loving that EWU was picked for washington

If you read their methodology for coming up with the ranking and know a decent amount about Linfield, it makes sense. Also, Oregon has traditionally been a pretty awful football team.

Cool article on Linfield:http://www.campusrush.com/linfield-college-football-winning-streak-1407167472.html

So proud my son is a part of the best program in the State of Washington. But, with all due respect to the post regarding the State of Oregon, the duckies are nothing compared to Linfield. The Wildcat program is a program that schools, no matter their size, should attempt to emulate. Ask anyone who has played at Whitworth or PLU. Linfield's success and tradition is unmatched in our State and probably the Pacific Northwest.

Yep, Linfield is a great program.

Linfield program is very impressive. I've gotten to watch them quite a few times, and they know what they are doing there.
