Best Uniforms and Helmets

As a neutral party, I go with MSU. I like the contrast between colors and the big M on the helmet. Call me old school I guess. Are you guys Navy and Green or Black and Green? Not enough contrast for my tastes.

You've noticed! Figures from a school that won EXACTLY ONE conference championship in the last 30+years....1986!

Wyoming on the other hand has won 2 outright WAC titles and shared one one in 1993 in that same span!

Yep. We're getting rid of the Prairie gold and going back to our bright yellow that was used from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s.

Geez the hours we spend on Atalk debating the helmets....I'd prefer the old bright red ones, I can live with the new metallic color, but I'd like something that stands out a little better than our current logo.

I agree with your top 3 but have the 4-9 basically flipped. I have:

1. EWU I would recognize those jeresys anywhere
2. PSU Currently look good but could do better
3. SSU Reminds me of a college version of Jesuit only U of J is better
4. UNC Simple and looks good
5. UM Gotta give them their dues, they've won a lot in those
6. MSU Too close to Fusky unis for me to like
7. WSU Looks like a purple rendition of Western Oregon's infamous red
8. NAU Nike could do better
9. ISU Not diggin

God I hope so. A 'Bad Boys in Black' motif would follow shortly after giving Portland State an entourage of Raiders fans who come by the bunches. Are you guys advocating putting the green on the shoulders and black on the torso, or getting rid of the green altogether? I like the current uniforms, but I would switch the helmet logo to the alternate, mean-looking viking.

Let's remember that PSU's colors are Green, White and Black, in that order. The jerseys need to be predominately green, with some black thrown in there. Just because we hired a coach who only wears black does not mean we need to go changing our colors.

We also need to keep the current logo. There as not been enough time for it to be established yet. Changing logos every few years leads to confusion. The "Flying Viking" logo looks professional and classy, whereas the "Angry Viking" looks cartoonish. I like the "Angry Viking" logo for The Horde shirts and things like that.

I say we have 3 sets of jerseys and pants. One all black with green trim around the numbers and sides/black pants, one all green with black trim the same way/green pants, and one all white with black and green trim/ white pants. The shoulders would have the contrasting color of the jersey.

Now I'm no fashion major but I would call that style.

They do have achievement stickers, but not the angry viking. Just look at Hayward's helmet from last year.

Hopefully the only thing that changes this year is our won/loss record and hopefully that moves in a positive direction.

I like all of our conference uniforms actually. My least favorite would probably be UNC, but they aren't bad. Actually I change my vote to NAU. They've had some good ones but last years were pretty ugly in my opinion.

3. EWU (all red = all good)
4. ISU (love orange/black combo, but recent helmets have been.. bad)
5. UM (I used to love the old unis, lol, but the new ones are too... I don't know I just don't like them very much)
6. Weber (I like purple, but their road unis are kinda ugly)
7. UNC (not bad, just nothing special)
8. Sac (ugly helmets and ugly colors)
9. NAU (colors are alright, but I don't like the logo or the uniform design)
