Big D 1 Transfers: Ryan McMahon-Latest

Not sure what to make of the latest Big D1 transfer. Doesn't seem like these guys pan-out for whatever reason. Not sure if there are any stats, but just can't recall anybody doing it well over here at Sac Town. Ryan is a special-teams phenom, that's what I've been able to find:

Remember Santi Hall way back? Big LB for the Bruins, didn't pan out at all. Was pumped we got him at the time.

I don't know. Fleming seems to be doing alright. From what I saw of him last year, Shaw is probably our best RB. The injury just set him back and probably won't get a chance to get that starting spot back. Maybe the quality of the transfers are going up.

Did Shaw get injured in camp?

Shaw got hurt last year at the beginning of the season. He's healthy this season, as far as I know.

Yeah I think GCM thought you were implying he got hurt based on your last post. Shaw had some carries in the scrimmage and then the article said a lot the starters were rested. I think we will see a good dose of both Hilliard and Shaw with a little of Crox and McCowan sprinkled in there somewhere. Should be fun to watch this season assuming everyone can stay healthy.

Curtis Shaw was a monster coming out of high-school, maybe he can make some things happen. Dailey a few years back was a flash.

But you're absolutely right on Fleming, remember him well at NM State. Looks great over here, love the pick-up.

Fleming can really run, he's a handful for defenses containing that scramble. This is a little surprising though....although maybe not, but the Big Sky has McMahon rated highly already:

Shaw also returned the opening kickoff of the scrimmage for a TD. If he can stay healthy we have the best 1-2 punch in the BSC...
