Looks like the university presidents will vote on this later this afternoon. Not looking good...

One proposal is for teams to be allowed to play 3 non conference games this fall and 8 league games in the spring. That sounds like a good compromise to me. Maybe we could still squeaz Wyoming in on a rescheduled date or replace them with another FBS game. Another option would be to play who ever we can schedule. It would be great if we could get at least one money game, two if we can only have the St George as a home game. Not sure how the UNI game would be handled. :coffee:

Well, this is how the BSC operates. They voted, but it's a big, bigly secret until tommorow. Something about sending it back to the ADs for a planning session. So, what did they vote on? Did they make the huge decision to tell somebody to make a plan? From what I have been following, the alternate plans were laid out to the Presidents for a vote. So, my question still remains, what did they vote on? This feels like they are kicking the can, once again. Our entire country is lacking leadership, or so it would seem. Maybe somebody has requested a recount of the votes and that could take months for these academics to count to 9. :wall: :wtf:

Well, it sucks, but probably the wise decision. A season in the spring could be really fun and the FCS would get a lot more national and local exposure. Now, let's all get our shit together and do what it's going to take to have the ability to have a spring season. Take this seriously, care about others, wear a damn mask, and stay safe.

The NCAA has announced that the FCS Championship in the Fall has been cancelled. It may or may not be rescheduled for Spring.

Hate to break it all the Big Sky football fans, but there's not going to be spring football. If they don't play this fall, football's not coming back until 2021--assuming that Weber and other athletic departments survive.

 I'm sure glad to have a person on our board who can fortell the future.

I agree that there is a chance that football will not be played in the spring. I think that a lot will depend on what the rest of football does, not just the BSC or FCS. There is also a lot riding on what happens with the pandemic. Knowing how many knucleheads we have, who will not take perscribed actions, I would say that it all rides on an effective vacine. :coffee:

One thing is looking grim if football is not played this spring. If not played and all players are granted an additional RS year, there will be far, far fewer grants available for incoming recruits next year. I'm guessing that there would be a 70% to 80% drop. That's a lot of kids to be left high and dry. It might be a positive for FCS schools. Any player getting a grant at our level will likely be *** or higher. The JCs will also be loaded with talent for the next few years.
