Big Sky Championship in Ogden?

For sure it's early but I really feel that WSU is going to host the tournament come March. I know that UNC and MSU are still contenders in the race, but I can't see WSU losing at home. What do you guys think? Big Sky Tournament comes through Ogden yet again? What about WSU winning out and not losing till at least the Big Dance?

I really think it depends on the Montana roadtrip, since I think we will win out the rest of our games other than those 2, if we can win out with maybe only one more loss we will win the conference, but we also need to win all our home games especially the one vs Northern Colorado.

The Big Sky Tourney is either going to be in Ogden, or in Greeley

we are 5-1 alone in first...for now, the great news is 6 of our next 8 games are at home, traditionally we play VERY well at home. This is a good team we have this yr and they will take care of the home court.

if we can defend the dee and then split on the road we could be 12-2 with 2 to go, that would be awesome but with the sky being better this year from top to bottom this is easier said than done. Even defending the home court will be a major challenge.

Everyone has already lost at home besides UNC and us. we've only had 2 home games so far and 4 away. UNC has had 2 home and 5 away. both us and UNC have a bunch of home games right now.

I agree, it will be in Greeley or Ogden.
UNC split their road trip in Montana, the Northwest trip, and will likely split the WSU/ISU trip.
I see WSU splitting the Montana trip, likely the Northwest trip, and already split the East trip (UNC/NAU).
I think they will be tied at the end of the season (both with 3 conference losses).
What is the tiebreaker?

If the Dee Center was hosting the conference tourney, how hard is it to get tickets? If I am coming from outside the area, can I just walk-up and buy that day?
Dee has capacity, but if the games are in Greeley, that arena is pretty small.......

tie breaker could be montana state the way things are right now but it could easily be UM or PSU assuming this scenario happened

when WSU hosts...you can get tkts at the door or order online. even when wsu gets 10k to a game that still leaves 1,600 seats empty. if UNC is hosting they can't have it at their arena according to their forum. they said its at some budweiser center 20 miles away that must be 5000+.

the sky wont let sac or psu host and apparently same with unc do to a 5k limit. can anyone confirm the big sky's rule? is this correct? lets just hope we take care of our home court including UNC so it wont be out of our teams hands who gets the opportunity to host.

I too feel like we will be hosting. It would be a huge setback if we didn't. I think between the 2 Montana's Northern Colorado loses at home, and while it will be a tough game at the DEC I think they will get swept by us and ISU. If NAU can sweep the pacific NW roadtrip we better as well, I mean we only beat NAU by 25 in Flagstaff right before they pulled that off! If we are going to split a roady it will be the Montana trip. In fact I'm not sure who to Root for this weekend between UM and MSU. MSU has only 2 losses, but I think it will be us and UM with first round tournament byes, even though they just squeaked one by Sac St.(57-56). My predictions for tourney seeding are

1. Weber St.
2. Montana
3. Montana St.
4. Northern Colorado
5. Portland St.
6. Northern Arizona/Idaho St. * Up for grabs (I wouldn't be surprised to see ISU go on a win streak and claim the 6th spot.)

Two big roadtrips remain for the Cats and they've got to protect their homecourt. There is still a lot of basketball to be played until the tourny. I for one think its best to take the season one game at a time. PSU and Eastern are both full of talent and are extremely dangerous. Eastern has some ballers. Unfortunately, for the Eagles, they haven't really fully solidified as a team, I'm guessing due to youth, but they can pull an upset at anytime. Portland State, as we all know, has a lot of talented upper classmen and need a big win to get their season back on track. Their games this week are huge for them.
However, with what we have seen so far, I wouldn't be surprised to see Weber host again. JUST WAIT TO CUT DOWN THE NETS.
As for potential places that the tourny could end up at. UM and MSU both could host on their home courts. We know that Weber can (as for tkts. online is the best option. Heyoh22 if you don't mind a student might be able to get you cheaper tkts, but you'll have to sit in the student section with the Weber Crazies). Only Sac, PSU, and UNC have to find alternate venues if they were to host: PSU, Memorial Colesium or the Rose Garden, UNC the Budweiser Center in Longmont I believe, and SAC Arco Arena.
I'm getting a bit worried about NAU. They are starting to play really well. That northwest sweep might have been a fluk, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't.

I dont think NAU's games on the west coast trip were flukes, I watched them play Portland State on Sunday, and they just totally dominated on both sides of the court, came out with more energy, etc, Im just glad we played them at thier place when we did, they will be tough to beat here, but there isnt another game in conference Weber cant win.

I think Weber will sweep this weekend beat Sac the next, maybe go 1-1 on the Montana roadtrip, then come home and win 3 more straight vs UNC NAU and ISU, and sweep the west coast trip.

I still feel that WSU will take care of biz on the road and at home. I really think that after the ISU game Weber isn't going to lose again. Sure that's pretty bold, but Rahe and company are the real deal!!
