I think he's dead wrong about the recession being used as a reset. It will be a blip on the screen once the econ takes off again. Everytime there's one, a new high, low-bar is set. The budgets are only going to increase, because if they weren't, salaries for coaches would've been slashed in half by the Florida's, Michigan's, Notre Dame's of the world...and they weren't. Good thing Dougie doesn't work in the private sector, he'd be out of a job!

I'm not so sure. If SUU were in the cards, I would think they'd have been announced with Cow Poly and the Manure Pile. While I realize they're a bit more complicated because they'd be coming lock, stock, and barrel, one should look at what they bring: a big, fat NOTHING other than being a potential travel partner for Weber. As much as I've smacked UNC lately, I trust UNC a WHOLE lot more than I trust SUU.
As bad as a D-II call-up would be, I honestly think SOU or Humboldt would be a better pick than SUU.
