Big Sky Conference standings predictions

I'm up late tonight, and I thought I would keep myself amused. So here are my completely amateur predictions for how the final standings will look.

Eastern Washington 15-3
Montana 14-4
Sacramento State 13-5
Northern Arizona 13-5
Idaho 10-8
Northern Colorado 10-8
Portland State 8-10
Southern Utah 7-11
Weber State 7-11
North Dakota 4-14
Idaho State 4-14
Montana State 3-15

Anybody else want to throw out a guess?

Due to tie breaking criteria, you've predicted that Weber will not make the tourney!

i think weber will go 8-10.

i hope weber can pull a 2004. that was the last time eastern was good. they won the big sky that year but finished the regular season 0-2 after start 9-3 start. they came to poca and lost somehow then last game of the year was in ogden. johnny hamilton hit 8 3's and weber won. it is still one of the best home games i have seen in ogden.

DJ Stryde, rightfully so, claims that he was the inspiration behind Johnny's great game. He kept screaming "shoot it Johnny" and Hamilton kept firing away. After Weber won the game, loooool, the students led by Bengal Hater rushed the court. The old guy tried to block the way, but we just jumped over the railing and carried Johnny off the floor. Good times!! Weber was picked to win it that season too. That season the Cats really should have won it. Slobodan, Sparrow, Hamilton, and Allred were starters for the Cats. That was a tough season to sit through. Definitely under-achieved. Really no reason why the Cats didn't do better. This season...well, the players have been playing out of position. They are young and Weber lost four seniors from last year (3-starters).

Predictions...well, if the Cats would have played 2 halves on Saturday, they would have beat NAU pretty handily. Weber has to come out and play a full game. It is going to be really tough this week. 5 games left. Weber has to figure out some way to win 3 of them.

Back2WSU, I'm with you, on your updated predictions...see a possibility of 1 win against ISU, but don't think Cats will figure out a way to win 3. This Thurs vs. MSU might be telling, as it is the next best chance I'd say. Home court isn't an advantage this year for WSU...read where it is the first time in the program's history that they have lost 4 straight home games? :twocents:

First time they've lost four straight home conference games. They lost five straight home games in December '86. They were 1-8 in that month, winning only the first game of the month.

Lets see, our offense is offensive and inefficient. Weber hasn't been this bad offensively since 2006. Hard to imagine how bad the Cats have been. Defense, isn't too bad, but the object of the game is to score the most points.

Who will score points for the Cats with Senglin out? I like our lineup sans Golden but he at least can, on occasion, score, while Hunter is afraid to take open shots. Is Richardson the answer? Will he be back by Thurs? I know Hill has been much maligned, but I really liked him playing the 3. He can't shoot worth a damn for range, but he does move a lot better playing the 3, which opens up the floor for the team.

What I'm getting after is the fact that the Cats have potential but it isn't gelling. Maybe with players playing in their correct positions it will help the Cats out. I don't think Weber makes the tournament though. Sad to admit, but I dont.

It was too bad that Slobodan basically played on 1 and 1/2 legs that season. He could have been a 20 and 10 guy.

This is just so confusing! I agree with everything purple said in his post, but can't figure out how we got here! Playing players at their natural position is a beautiful thing...... Why did it take so long to get here?

I love the wildcats ..... But if they get in the tourney and actually win...... Is this the team you want playing maybe Kentucky or another 1 seed? I find myself just wanting the team to regroup and get ready for next year! Yup, a coward thing to say, but I just think back to the Oklahoma game and..... I don't know if the program needs that type of negative exposure.

I kinda blame the Oklahoma game for our current predicament. Two games before Rahe changes the starting lineup. Against BYU and UVU Weber has some success with a different lineup. Then the Cats got side swiped by a good Oklahoma team and Rahe goes back to what wasn't initially working hoping now it'll work. Instead of continuing with the change. Weird...only if the Cats hadn't played Oklahoma. What if...
