Big Sky FBS game payouts

Had a few moments, and checked the 2015 schedule, and found all but the two Montana schools were playing either Pac12 or Mtn West opponents. Just wondering what the payout is. Thinking maybe $250K for Mtn West and 500K for Pac12? Apparently the larger attendance figures at UM and MSU, plus another home game, equal about the same amount for them?

I think you're pretty close by the numbers on contracts being signed today. We've played a few Pac-12 schools for $400k-ish in the past, but now I think $500k is more the going rate. Most MWC probably pay a little more than $250k now, but when we paid Nevada back in 2010, I think $250k was the number.

I think our games at Oregon, Iowa State and Tennessee paid in the $650k range. Factor in travel costs and anything less than that nets less than a home game in Missoula. Then there's the reported million dollar influx to the Missoula economy every home game. #toughproblemtohave

There's a post on BCN that breaks down how much we make, if we sellout a OOC home game. I wanna says its like 300k. I'm too lazy to go search for it though. I think we usually pay teams 150-200k to come to Bozo.

I believe we got $450k last year for playing UW. This year's game against UO is right around that range.
