Broderick Ghilcrest? Child Please!! We all know that the MVP goes to the best player on the best team which means that this guy is already $hit outta luck! Thanks for the good laugh though   :lol:talhadfoursteals said:WSUfan said:Can some retain the MVP status for the wildcats this year? Newcomer: Bamforth or Porter
MVP: Hughey
Fresh: Fulton or Tresnak
In all honesty, there are three or four players who could get the MVP this year. Cameron Jones of NAU, now that Lillard is gone, is the front runner, but Devon Beitzel from UNC and Broderick Ghilcrest of ISU are both candidates. Oh, and we can't forget about Bobby Howard and Eric Rusch at MSU. UM has two in Will Cherry and Brian Qvale.

So unless Weber State wins out and somehow, miraculously wins a share of the title, it isn't going to happen.
My money is on Qvale, assuming Montana wins it, who seems to be the Big Sky's poster child this year. To be honest, even if Weber finishes in the top three, I don't think the Wildcats will get a first-teamer this season.
Here are my predictions for all Big Sky at this juncture in the season:
First Team
Devon Beitzel, Northern Colorado
Brian Qvale, Montana
Cameron Jones, Northern Arizona
Will Cherry, Montana
Eric Rush, Montana State
Second Team
Bobby Howard, Montana State
Lindsey Hughey, Weber State
Broderick Gilchrest, Idaho State
Charles Odum, Portland State
Chehales Tapscott, Portland State
Honorable Mention
Scott Bamforth, Weber State
Kevin Winford, Eastern Washington
Sultan Toles-Bey, Sacramento State
Derek Selvig, Montana
Taylor Montgomery, Northern Colorado
