I'm a little miffed at this weeks defensive choice. I'm not disregarding Sac States DB achievements, but Joe Martin blew any defensive play away in the Big Sky this week. 20 career high tackles against an FBS team?! That's just insane. I'm curious as to the last time an FCS player pulled that off against an FBS opponent.
Sure, we didn't win, but this isn't team recognition, it's player recognition. Joe Martin straight up killed it and I couldn't be more happy that he's on our side of the ball.
Players of the week, MVPs and all that stuff is trivial and doesn't mean much in the big scope of the game, but this one was more than deserved. /rant off
