Sounds like a trial run and that it could expand. We should be doing the same thing with some other near by conferences. :coffee:

For a conference which finds it so hard to schedule, I'm surprised only 4 schools are involved. We may want to schedule with the WAC while we can -- Cal State Bakersfield announced it's moving to the Big West in 2020 (along with UC San Diego, transitioning up from D-I).

What?? Ugh...I can't believe Weber isn't involved in this and that it only involves four programs. Hopefully, there are plans to expand it in the future and get more programs involved. Weber is one of the cheapest and easiest locations to get to in the Big Sky. Baffling?!

Bengal, I wouldn't mind playing some WAC teams. ISU and Weber both play UVU each year, but I would like to play NMSU and possibly Grand Canyon. In the past Weber played a home and home with Bakersfield (by the way they have the ugliest court I have ever seen). I've always wondered why the Sky can't get something done with the Big West (they are very cheap and don't want to pay the travel cost) or WCC (elitists?). However, it is nice to see progress being made with the Summit. I like that conference and have felt that an agreement with them was possible. Other potential conferences could include Sun Belt or Southland.

As I stated before, this is what is coming to the Summit League. The Montanas, Idaho and EWU will jump to the Summit when either ORU or IPFW leave. Those Big Sky teams will head over and all the teams will have a previous relationship to UND, some via hockey. It will go FBS too.

Weber St can cordially join, but your admin must approve it.

The Big Sky will become a mess though.

Think the Big West invited UCSD and Bakersfield when they got word that Davis, Sac St, and Cal Poly were heading for a new FBS launching of the WAC. The WAC will also get Sam Houston St, Lamar, S F Austin and Incarnate Word.

The Big Sky will get Seattle, UVU Cal Baptist and will invite Dixie St and Azusa Pacific.

You'll be kingmakers in the Big Sky then.

Good hell, not you again. Please go away.

Look on the bright side: the Big Sky will become an I-15 conference with Dixie St and Utah Valley. What more could you ask?
