Big Sky sweeps all major awards

Well it wasn't a banner year for the Big Sky team wise, but the conference swept all the major individual awards this year: NAU QB Crookus was freshman of the year, Montana's Holmes defensive player of the year, EWU's Kupp offensive player of the year, and Portland's Barnun coach of the year.

Pretty good conference no?

Just wait and see if it gets better when Idaho and possibly New Mexico State come in. Sun Belt re evaluates them this spring. UI president said if they are basically 'booted out' he's more in favor of rejoining the Big Sky instead of trying to go the independent route yet again.

We'll see.

If Idaho rejoins and they start offering full cost of attendance scholarships (and that appears to be the plan according to Rob Speer) they should be able to get some pretty good players.

Don't know much if anything about N.M. State's situation or potential options.
