If WSU wins the Big Sky outright with 20+ wins and single digit loses, and a decent RPI, what tournament seed would we get? The Big Sky is ranked 17 out of 30 something conferences right now. WSU also has imo a quality win in Utah, mid-major wins in Morehead State and Cal State Fullerton, and UNC coming up in February. What does it take for WSU to receive a 12 or lower seed? I believe anything lower than a 12 seed is the lowest a WSU team has had. WSU does have a good strength of schedule, and if we keep winning our RPI should be in the top 50. Is it even possible to get a 12 or lower seed this year? Do we have a impressive resume?
Now if UNC wins outright what kind of seed would they receive? They have many quality wins and right now their RPI is higher than ours. If they win with 20+ wins and single digit losses, they should have a top 50 RPI. Can you see the committee giving them anything higher than a 12 seed? Because it’s their first bid, I don’t see them getting a higher seed than WSU would.
What do you guys know/think?
