Big Sky Tourney/NCAA Tourney

Sorry for putting this thread on here already but the hosting cities that are close by for the NCAA Tournament are:

Omaha, Denver, & Anaheim

I realize the Big Sky is a long season and usually no one can predict the results especially after season all the teams' non conf schedules turn out the way they did but if we can end up hosting. . .

It would be great to win it all again, but lets just take it one game at a time. However, if we were to win, Denver would be ideal, since Weber could get a lot of fans to go out. Back to hosting; if Weber sweeps this week in Montana there is a great chance of hosting. As I see it all Weber needs to do is win all home games and then pull off 3-4 road victories. I think we can pull off victories at ISU, EWU, and SAC, but first and foremost the Cats need to take care of business at the Dee. By the way our attendance has been awful. What can we do to improve it?

Get a marketing department that cares about WSU athletics. Spend some money advertising on 1320 and 1280 sports radio. Get the students involved, 50-100 dollars towards books or schooling, have them sign up before the game and do a contest during a timeout or half time between 2 students so someone will win every game. The key is to have a winner every game, not a big prize at the end.

here is how it will end

weber 13-3, nau 11-5, psu 9-7, msu 8-8, isu 5-11, the rest who cares

Sounds good to me, + 2 wins in the tournament and a trip to the big dance...

espn bracketology:

MIDWEST (Detroit)
Omaha
(1) Kansas (19-1) (16) WEBER ST (10-8) / Big Sky

(8) Notre Dame (15-4) (9) Dayton (15-4)

There is no way that Weber will be a 16 seed. Last year idiot Lunardi said that Weber would have to play in the Play-in-Game. He's an idiot! However, I wouldn't mind a rematch with UCLA as long as there is a different outcome.

Weber State will never be a 16th seed going into the NCAA's. If they do I will owe Catcat a half baked cookie at the Pie.

Well what ever the half baked cookie is u may owe me one one day, never say never. what if one year we win the big ksy tournament as a 6 seed and we are 15-16 overall>? that would be a good chance of 16 seed.

but as fir this yr i dont think we can do worse than a 15 since we will hve beatin a 12 seed our first game of the yr

that is if we even make it, hope we do!!

Sometimes I sound too sure of myself, but tonight is a big game. Idaho State has a pretty good team this year. Their team has improved since they played Washington State on Dec 23rd. Of course Wazzou was #5 in the nation at the time, but ISU didn't look very good. They have improved as a team and it is very impressive. Weber always plays great basketball at the Lol-t Arena. It was just a year ago when Brody Van Broklin had his breakout game at the Lol-t . It will be an amazing game whatever the outcome.

The outcome wil be weber going "penguin" on ISU!!!!

Ahh...maybe the wild kittens are getting a little ahead of themselves. The wild kitties were out rebounded by 12 and beaten down by the bengals. BENGALS 63 Purple Petters 59. Pretty early to be talking about the tourney when you could realistically be a 5 seed. BTW, Ogden is a mid century industrial slum sooooo, so go visit one of your run down strip malls and kick it.

well as soon as we get our first conference win the ncaa tourney talk begins!

i mean after all we win the big sky in basketball every 2.64 years! 17 titles and 14 ncaa appearances as a big sky team.

we are in the middle of a 3 peat right now! so we will enjoy hosting here in our "industrial slum" opposed to ur "just slum" lol
