Not much good news to talk about for the time being. However, one of my favorite things about being an Eagle fan has been using the football game as an excuse to travel and explore. A couple years ago I made goal for myself to watch the Eags at every Big Sky road venue. So far, I have Sac State, UC Davis, Southern Utah, and Northern Colorado left to go. I was really hoping to knock off UCD, SUU, and NCU this year, but those will probably have to wait. Even with fans allowed in the stands, spring time travel will be tough for me.

That being said, I think my two favorite trips have been to Poly and NAU. That SLO area is absolutely gorgeous! Pre gaming at Woolys Beach Bar in Pismo Beach with the Pacific Ocean right behind me was epic. I used the NAU game as an excuse to see the Grand Canyon for the first time, and oh my, what a surreal site! Flagstaff is a great college town. Also managed to score some AZ Cardinals tickets for Sunday. I'M 0-2 at WA Griz in Missoula, but I always have a great time. Bloodies and Eggs Benny at the Montana club, and Big Sky Brewing are always a blast. Beers at the stadium at UND (I know they're not in the Sky any longer) and PSU in Beaverton is a treat. Pregaming at the corner club in Moscow was a great time. UI is also an easy trip for me. I'd love to pull a UI/EWU afternoon game and Coug PM game double some day. Pocatello was surprisingly fun, and a pre-game at the Portneuf Brewery was fantastic. Post game at a little divey local karaoke bar was so fun! Utah is weird, but Ogden is a pretty city. The Shooting Star Saloon right out of town was a lot of fun. I really like MSU's stadium, and Bozeman is a fun town to visit. Pre game at a bar downtown that I cannot recall, but drinks were CHEAP! Post game victory party at the Rock N R.

What are some of your favorite Big Sky road spots? What are some highlights? What are some spots your fellow Eag travelers cannot miss? I know I am looking forward to the BBQ joint in Cedar City some of ya'll have talked about.

Cheers, Safe travels, and Go Eags!
