I didn't realize there was such a thing as Big Sky TV, but I saw over on the Idaho site that it is broadcast on Pluto TV. Pluto TV is a free online outlet that has a bunch of random channels and in the sports package there are two stations of Big Sky TV. It is kind of cool and something worth checking out if you didn't know of its existence.

Is it the same as the Big Sky TV on eversport.com?

It is a bit different because one channel is just like the Eversport feed of live content, but the other channel is 24/7 content that has replays of all different sports. Right now they are showing a replay of the Eastern NAU football game from last year.

Just watched a live interview with Gage down in Utah about an hour ago.

Found this writeup on goeags.com about EWU athletic events being aired on Pluto TV in 2017-2018. Pretty informative.

This app seems pretty cool, and streams well. But, I work almost every Saturday, so having the games on demand were huge! I will be bummed if that is gone, as I am almost never able to make it to any actual games.

Also, it would seem from the press release that the games won't be on SWX...which if true, I don't know that that is a good thing for driving local interest in Eagle football.

Is it a streamling app, or something new?

It is a streaming app. I'm not really sure of all of the details. I may need to re-read them. It appears there is a national channel that will be playing Big Sky games of the week, presumably other than the Root Sports games nationally. What's cool is this station is carried on Dish locally, which I have. It's called "Eleven Sports". I'm not sure if they play on Xfinity or DirectTV, though it should be easy to find out. It will be nice to DVR those games. Also, the "Eleven Sports" broadcast will be streamed on Big Sky TV and Pulse. I'm hoping the fact that there are still going to be games streamed the Big Sky TV means that the "on demand" feature will still be in place.

Nice. I have Dish. I'll see if I can find it.

Just released the schedule....one extra tv game...S. Utah
You would think they would want to feature one of the top programs in the country. I get Root wants ratings with pretty much all Montana games. Maybe this is designed for more feature of the rest of the BIG SKY. Thankfully there is no pattern in the scheduling...no mostly California or Montana schools.
NAU AND SU get the most love 3 games.

Sept. 16 - UC Davis at Portland State - 2 p.m. Pacific
Sept. 23 - Northern Arizona at Cal Poly - 6 p.m. Pacific
Sept. 30 - North Dakota at UC Davis - 6 p.m. Pacific
Oct. 7 - Montana at Idaho State - 2:30 p.m. Mountain
Oct. 14 - Southern Utah at Weber State - 6 p.m. Mountain
Oct. 21 - Eastern Washington at Southern Utah - 5 p.m. Mountain
Oct. 28 - North Dakota at Portland State - 4 p.m. Pacific
Nov. 4 - Northern Colorado at Sacramento State - 6 p.m. Pacific
Nov. 11 - Montana State at Northern Arizona - 5 p.m. Mountain
Nov. 18 - Northern Arizona at Southern Utah - 2:30 p.m. Mountain

What channel are you seeing it on dish? I can't find it.

This is what comes up when I put in my zip code in the Valley:

GREAT NEWS!

Eleven Sports is available on DISH Network channel #9794. At this time DISH Network does not carry Eleven Sports in High Definition. Please click below to request Eleven Sports HD in your area.

Also, they just released the schedule for the games of the week they will broadcast each week. EWU is only featured in one of them.

My post probably wasn't clear. The Big Sky Conference signed contracts with two new content providers. One is "Pluto," which is a streaming app, but will be playing BSC content 24/7, including streaming the games live (not sure about on demand). The other contract is with "Eleven Sports," which is NOT a streaming app, but a cable television station. It is available in Spokane on Direct TV on channel 623, and Dish on channel 9794. It is not available on Comcast, but the Eleven Sports broadcast will be streamed on Pluto. Hope that clears things up.

Eastern always does well managing their own broadcasts. SWX has been a good partner in broadcasting most games into the Spokane/North Idaho area. It's safe to say we'll have TV coverage for 8 or so games this season, maybe more, if you live outside the SWX area, using the Big Sky TV feed is perfectly good for viewing games. The only exception is when we play a school that doesn't have much in the way of their own broadcasting (Cal Poly s the one that comes to mind that has horrific broadcasts).

Awesome! I am always at a loss as to when podcasts are done, that will be very helpful!
