Big Sky wants to bear Montana's children

How did David James not earn player of the week honors? I swear, every single week the Big Sky Conference tries to weasle a Montana guy in there no matter what. They look for who had the best performance on that team and tries so hard to explain and justify why he belongs as a player of the week. Garbage... :willybs:

Typical but I can't blame them. They have to appease the top money-maker. Even if they do actuallysuck. 8-)

Back in 08, Trevyn Smith became Weber's all time leading rusher in Weber history in our game vs ISU, but the Big Sky's excuse for not giving him offensive player of the week was becuase we played Idaho State

The very next week, Montana beat ISU at home and a Montana player won special teams player of the week.

Go figure.

Had he not left the game in the 3rd with an injury, Anthony Morales could have been defensive player of the week, and maybe should have been anyways. He had 12 tackles at the half. The dude from UM that got the award had 12 total for the game. Morales is quickly becoming one of the best LBs in the conference. Through week 3 he's 2nd in the conference in tackles. And the team captain is only a sophomore. :thumb:

I'm pretty sure that the Big Sky conference has been in bed with Montana for over 20 years now. On a side note I was sad to see UNLV (Bobby Hauck) get a win over the weekend.

What happened to Morales? Is he going to be able to play in 2 weeks? :o

Agreed. Bobby is a grade A d-bag.

:loser: - Job description for UNLV head coach position. Hauck was the pinnacle of Montana arrogance and master of dirty play.

"Weber State did have a couple of injury scares. Starting center Tyson Tiatia left the game in the second quarter with a bone bruise. Morales had 13 tackles (1.5 for a loss) but left with a groin strain. Morales is expected to return next week, Tiatia will be evaluated further this week."
