Who do you believe is Weber's biggest hoops rival?

My vote goes to Montana,

There is nobody out there we have played more than Montana 113 total games played Idaho State is next at 111 games played.

i honestly as a student just hate when we play montana its always the game that you can feel the most intensity. so i agree with your vote WILDCAT

What?!? No love for Sac St? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

It's gotta be Montana. No doubt about it. Yes, every other Big Sky team has had moments, I love playing Eastern, Idaho State (since they are our rival); especially in Poky (the last three up there have been great), and UNCO has been a decent little rival over the past couple of seasons. Yes, even Sac, a few years back, was quite the fun game. Lance Allred told me once that he hated Sac St more than any of the other programs in the Sky. The infamous "dunk" by Coric Riggs after the game had ended sealing a Weber State victory is a great memory for me too. But none consistently rival Montana.

According to the Dictionary:
Rival: a person who is competing for the same object or goal as another, or who tries to equal or outdo another; competitor. A person or thing that is in a position to dispute another's preeminence or superiority:

By definition, Idaho State is not really a rival - they are not in a position to dispute Weber's preeminence or superiority. They may try to outdo Weber, but fail epically, thus not a rival.

Thus, the only basketball rival is Montana (and occasionally Edub or NAU). Why do people still think of Idaho State as Weber's rival? Maybe back in the 1980's, but today? :fuel:

idaho state, montana, utah state...suu could be added soon as they are big sky in july but they are never good in bball ever.
