So they will have a lame duck HC for a year, that should do wonders for recruiting. It’ll be interesting to see how they fair with a much tougher BSC slate next season.

it would be nice to think that parents/players would appreciate a guy being completely honest about his future. he could have waited until AFTER the signing period or after Spring Ball to come out and announce his plans. it might not have been the best timing with regards to signing, but, he's definately a guy with high integrity.

i'm very surprised by the timing; hearing his post-season interviews, he really seemed honestly excited about the future and about the current recruiting period. 20 years as a head coach will wear you down, especially with the demands that come with the FCS level.

Yeah I guess I can kind of get that, but best believe opposing coaches/recruiters who are going after the same players as the farm extension will be using the “You won’t be playing for Coach Biggs after next season. Who knows what else might change over there,” line to sway players to their program. :twocents:

but, SD, that just doesn't seem fair!! ;)

Biggs has always emphasized selling the university first and foremost; i'm sure that will be the sales pitch this year. hopefully, they have a pretty strong group ready to commit regardless.
