BigSky Games Week 6

Not sure we learn anything this week about the BSC. Would love to see each underdog win this week in these contests.

Cal Poly @ Sac St -- Sears and Wulff get another win against CP

Weber @ NAU -- Calling for the upset even though Souers is coaching. Weber just hasn't faced a good team yet

Vandals @ Bungles -- Not a believer in ISU but they likely win this one at home against a mediocre Idaho. Disappointed they get a pass on the Eag's this season.

UC Davis @ UNC -- Hawkins has peyote flashbacks heading back to Colorado but UNC finds another way to lose a game. UC Davis believes it has manifest destiny until Nov 11th facing the Eags..

Vikings @ Griz -- Griz. No one cares unless the upset happens. Griz get a pass on Weber and Eastern in BigSky so if a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there to hear it, does it make a noise?

Been watching the Montana game off and on. I thought that the score was a fluke, but every minute I've watched, PSU has literally looked like the better team. They are absolutely grinding Montana's defense on the ground and Montana is lucky the score isn't higher.

The Idaho score shouldn't be a surprise. ISU is good and they are doing what they are supposed to against a bad team.

TO PSU... AT Washington-Grizzly Stadium

HAHA

And Idaho has had it rough today in Pocatello... This has been one of the best Saturdays of the year, especially with JMU potentially opening up the top 4 with that loss so that we may move up in the polls.

FTG indeed, but Montana losing to the worst team in the conference isn’t good for the Big Sky.

Meh, it's no biggie. ISU, Weber, UCD and Eastern are all better than Montana, UM is just a middle of the pack Big Sky team and it's no different than say Sac St losing to PSU in any other year. UM's schedule is shockingly easy and they still couldn't make it through half of it undefeated.

I wholeheartedly agree but it's still great in the short term.

Not saying you're wrong, but how is that bad for the big sky? Since when is parity bad? I always see this statement from EWU fans that a strong UM team is good for the conference but I don't get how it's blatantly bad if they are down. They will still fill wagrizz and every other fan base will be excited for their game. Coach me up on this.

Just to clarify, Ranger said "not good". He never said "bad".

Montana is ranked #14. With so many Big Sky teams in the top 25, the Big Sky is more likely to land more top seeds in playoffs and send more bubble teams.

That said, luckily ISU, UC Davis, and Weber are all pulling their weight this year and it's not just EWU making noise. So the impact of Montana falling out of grace will be soft this year, but in years past it would have been much worse.

The only thing that matters to me, is that EWU wins the conference, gets a seed and makes a run to Frisco. That’s what the conference needs!

Would you rather face an MVFC team, or SHSU, or a team we already beat? I would take the known vs the unknown.

Weber is going to fall very very far once they have lost to NAU and EWU. I would have liked to have thumped a highly ranked team. Weber matches up poorly against EWU.
