You can mark my words, Porter is going to be a monster in the BSC. I'm glad he will be ready to play come BYU. I think that he will not only replace Session, but will really be alot better than Session. He is super athletic and can knock down the outside. He has great defense too!(ie; the block from behind) Was Porter recruited by Rahe or any of the in-state schools coming out if high school? I think BJ is the real deal! Good pick up by the cats!! I think he has to start at the 3 spot when December rolls around!

rahe did try and recruit porter from high school. rahe went to 3 different locations to see porter play aau ball. all 3 trips made there was no porter. there was a family illness in porter's family and that was the reason he missed each game rahe went to see. we have heard the family illness was also the reason for his transfer so weber was actually just lucky to get him at this point.
many of you know they do basically all the recruiting at aau.

Weber did recruit Porter, but he bought into the "hype and sizzle" that Portland U was selling him. They made him a lot of promises, which weren't kept. One of Porters relatives talked to the wizard and then BJ contacted coach and that was that. I have heard that his parents are very happy to have him playing for Rahe.
